I have a relatively new home with LOTS (16 maybe?) of recessed cans. A few are pin _base_d and switched seperately but most are screw _base_d.
In some of the screw _base_d cans, I have put in some cheap CFLs but they are not really intended to be downlights. Can someone recommend a CFL _style_ PAR lamp? What's your favorite? Where do I buy it? These would be in my kitchen and also loft area (where we use the computer, read, etc) and in in the stairway. Looking for quick warm up, reasonable price.
Westinghouse makes a very nice compact fluorescent PAR lanp replacement which you can find here but keep in mind while they will out perform the cheapo CFL's they still will not perform in exactly the same way as a BR or PAR incandescent.
